Plans and add-ons

Your organization always has one plan, and can add add-ons to it. Each plan includes everything in the plans below it. To see your plan, change it, or add an add-on, contact Nightingale. How licences apply, including trials and the 15-day grace period after a plan or add-on ends, is explained in Settings.

Registering patients is free and unlimited. What every plan charges for is monitoring: the patients your organization turns monitoring on for, so their alerts, risk scores and care plans run (see Monitoring).

Essentials Professional Enterprise
Monitored patients included each month 100 100 100, or by contract
Most monitored patients in a month 1,000 5,000 no maximum

You are billed on the distinct patients monitored in each calendar month (UTC). A patient counts once in the month however often monitoring is turned on and off, and a patient monitored for less than 24 hours in total that month is not counted. Patients beyond those included are billed as Extra monitored patients, at a lower price per patient from the 1,001st patient of the month, or at your contract’s price.

Once the month’s count reaches your plan’s maximum, monitoring a new patient is refused until the 1st. Moving to a plan with a lower maximum is refused while you monitor more patients than it allows right now; a month that already counted more doesn’t block it.

Each plan includes a number of some things, and you can buy more of them as add-ons, up to a maximum per plan.

Essentials Professional Enterprise
Active locations included 1 5 by contract
Extra locations you can buy up to 2 up to 5 by contract
Custom alert scripts included 1 1 1, or by contract
Custom risk scripts included 1 1 1, or by contract
Extra custom scripts you can buy any number any number any number

When you reach a limit, creating one more is refused and the screen says why. What you already have keeps working. A plan or add-on change that would leave you with more than the new limit allows is refused until you are under it: for example, deactivate locations before moving to a plan that includes fewer.

There is no limit on staff. As a guide, plans are sized for up to 25 staff per location.

Add-ons are sold separately on every plan, Enterprise included.

Add-on What it adds
Integrations Integrations: access for your own systems, and outbound callbacks that notify them when your data changes
White label application Your organization’s branding in the patient app
Custom alert script One more alert script written for your organization than your plan includes. Also sold as a pack of 5 or a pack of 10 scripts, for less per script
Custom risk script One more risk script written for your organization than your plan includes. Also sold as a pack of 5 or a pack of 10 scripts, for less per script
Extra location One more active location than your plan includes
Extra monitored patients Monitored patients beyond those your plan includes, billed on each month’s count up to the plan’s maximum (see Monitored patients)

When your plan doesn’t include a feature

Section titled “When your plan doesn’t include a feature”

A screen for a feature your plan doesn’t include is not in the sidebar. Opening it anyway shows Not included in your plan, naming the feature. Asking for it through the API is refused with a message that your organization’s licence doesn’t include it.

Nothing is deleted when your organization loses a feature, and work picks up again within a few minutes of getting it back:

  • Exports asked for but not prepared yet fail, saying your plan doesn’t include them. Ask again once it does.
  • Outbound callbacks wait instead of being sent, and none are dropped. See Delivery History.
  • Custom alert and risk scripts are part of every plan, so ending a script add-on doesn’t stop them. Ending one is refused while you have more scripts than you would be left with.
