Settings

There is no Settings screen in the app yet, so the sidebar has no Settings entry. Your organization’s settings are managed elsewhere for now:

  • Locations, opening hours and time zones are on the Locations screen.
  • Roles and permissions are on the Roles screen.
  • Tags and access restrictions are on the Tags screen and on each user’s record.
  • Your organization’s name, logos and colours are set up by the platform team. Contact support to change them.

Your organization’s licence decides which features you can use. There isn’t a screen for it in the app yet. To see your plan, change it, or add an add-on, contact support.

A licence is made of:

  • A base plan: Essentials, Professional or Enterprise. Each plan includes everything in the plans below it, so Enterprise has every feature of Professional, and Professional every feature of Essentials.
  • Add-ons for extra features, such as a custom-branded app, or integrations that let your other systems exchange data with Nightingale.

Each plan or add-on runs for a period of time, with a price agreed with Nightingale. Some add-ons also have a quantity, such as how many extra locations you bought: it raises the matching limit, such as how many active locations you can have. No plan limits how many of your staff can use Nightingale.

Some features need a particular plan or add-on: Plans and add-ons lists what each includes. For example, exports need Professional or Enterprise, and outbound callbacks need the Integrations add-on. When your plan doesn’t include a feature, its screens aren’t in the sidebar, opening one says that your plan doesn’t include it, and using it is refused with a message that your organization’s licence doesn’t include it. A role that allows a feature isn’t enough on its own: your licence must include it too.

Licences apply only to your organization’s staff. Patients can always use their own features, whatever your plan.

A plan or add-on can be scheduled to start on a later date. It unlocks its features as soon as that date arrives. A change Nightingale makes to your licence applies right away, and a change of plan takes effect at a single moment: your old plan ends exactly when the new one starts.

A plan or add-on can be a trial, which always has an end date. While it runs, staff who can view your organization’s licence see a notice at the top of every screen saying when the trial ends.

When a plan or add-on ends without being renewed, your organization keeps its features, and any extra locations or scripts it included, for a 15-day grace period. During that time, staff who can view the licence see a notice saying when it ended and when its features stop being available. Contact support to renew it before then. Once the grace period is over, its features and limits no longer apply. Moving to another plan has no grace period: the new plan’s features apply from the moment it starts.

Losing a feature never deletes your data. Clinical records stay readable, and anything you set up comes back if the licence is renewed.
