Opening a user from the Users screen shows everything your organization records about them, in cards.
What the page shows
Section titled “What the page shows”- Account information: the email address they sign in with.
- Contact information: their phone number.
- Personal information: first and last name, nickname and preferred language.
- Professional information: country, join date, medical ID, your internal ID for them, and their tags.
- Assigned locations: the locations they work at, and at each one, the per-location permissions their roles give them, such as being bookable, scheduling, starting and ending visits, reopening them, pre-visit intake, and completing laboratory and imaging orders.
- Permissions: the roles they hold and the permissions each grants.
- Patient access restriction: if set, the person only sees patients who carry all of the chosen tags. With no tags set, they see every patient in your organization.
- Availability: their working hours for scheduling.
Editing a user
Section titled “Editing a user”Choose Edit at the top of the page to change the person’s name, nickname, preferred language and phone number, and the professional information (country, join date, medical ID, internal ID and tags), then Save. Clearing the medical ID, internal ID or phone number removes it, and removing every tag is saved too. A changed phone number is shown as not verified. The email address cannot be changed.
Each of the other cards has its own controls:
- Permissions: choose Edit to pick the person’s roles. Their permissions change the next time they do anything. Saving with no role selected removes every role.
- Assigned locations: assign or unassign locations. At each location, every per-location permission their roles give them has a checkbox, all checked to begin with. Uncheck one to switch it off at that location only: for example, uncheck Bookable so patients can’t book them there, or uncheck starting visits so they can’t start visits there while they still can elsewhere. A permission that needs another one you have unchecked is shown struck through, because it has no effect there. A permission added to one of their roles later applies at every location where it isn’t unchecked. To give someone a permission, change their roles: the checkboxes only take permissions away. The card is shown only to people who can view staff locations, and only people who can manage staff locations can assign, unassign or change the checkboxes; for everyone else the checkboxes are read-only.
- Patient access restriction: choose the tags that limit which patients the person can see. Nobody can change their own restriction, and staff who are restricted themselves cannot change anyone’s.
Who sees what
Section titled “Who sees what”Anyone who can view users can open this page. Each card needs its own permission to view and to change. For example, you may see a user’s details but not their roles. You can always see your own availability.
