Delivery History

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

Opening a subscription from the Outbound Callbacks screen shows every delivery for it, newest first. Use the status filter to find the problem ones.

  • Status, see below.
  • Resource ID: the visit or patient the event is about.
  • Callback Group: the event ID, the same as the X-Nightingale-Event-Id header.
  • Attempts: how many times sending has been tried, out of the maximum (10 by default). While a retry is scheduled, it also shows when the next attempt is due.
  • Last Response: the HTTP status your endpoint last answered with.
  • Error: why the last attempt failed, such as a timeout, a refused connection or an address that is not public, or why the delivery was cancelled. Network details are not shown; check your endpoint’s own logs.
  • Created and Delivered: when the delivery was queued and when your endpoint accepted it.
Status Meaning
Pending Waiting for its first attempt.
Retrying The last attempt failed and another is scheduled. Error and Last Response show what went wrong, and Attempts when the next try is due.
Processing Being sent right now.
Delivered Your endpoint answered with a 2xx status.
Paused Held back because recent deliveries to this subscription all failed. Sending resumes by itself after a few minutes.
Dead Lettered Given up on, or cancelled because the platform team disabled the subscription, and not sent again. Fix the endpoint, then ask the platform team if you need these events re-sent.

Retries wait 30 seconds after the first failure, doubling each time up to an hour, so the 10 attempts cover about six hours of downtime at your endpoint.

Outbound callbacks come with the Integrations add-on (see Plans and add-ons). While your organization doesn’t have it, nothing is sent and nothing is given up on: deliveries stay Pending or Retrying, Error says your plan doesn’t include outbound callbacks, and no attempts are used. They go out within a few minutes of the add-on being renewed.

Delivered and dead-lettered deliveries are removed from the history after a week.
