Requested Visits
Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.
Requested lists the visits at your workspace location that are waiting to be scheduled, with the patient, the visit type, the status and chief complaint, and the date the visit was requested for. Each page of the list is ordered by that date, earliest first.
Requesting a visit
Section titled “Requesting a visit”Choose Request Visit, pick the patient, then fill in the visit details and the date you want the visit for. Request Reason is required: it says why the visit is needed, and it is shown with the visit from then on.
Location starts at your workspace location, and lists every location of your organization, not only the ones you work at. A request at another location shows up on that location’s Requested list for someone who works there to schedule.
Acting on a request
Section titled “Acting on a request”From a row, or from the preview that View opens:
- Schedule gives the visit a date. You can leave it unassigned, or find an opening with a specific staff member and time slot. Openings take the staff member’s availability and the location’s hours into account.
- Start begins the visit now, for example when the patient turns up without an appointment. You can add the chief complaint.
- Cancel cancels the request, with an optional comment. The cancelled visit moves to Closed.
The preview shows the request reason, chief complaint and additional notes.
Pre-visit intake link
Section titled “Pre-visit intake link”The preview also has a Pre-visit Intake Link section. Create Intake Link makes a link the patient opens to fill in their details and history before the visit; copy it with the button next to it and send it to the patient. The patient does not need to sign in to use it.
- The form asks for the reason for the visit, and lets the patient list allergies, chronic conditions (picked from the list of diseases, with the date of diagnosis) and family history (which relative, the disease, and optionally their age at diagnosis). It asks for date of birth and gender only when the patient’s record does not have them yet.
- A link expires after 72 hours, and can be submitted once. Creating a new link stops earlier unused links from working. A link only works while the visit is still requested or scheduled.
- A patient who opens a link that no longer works is told whether it is invalid, or has expired or already been used, and is asked to contact the clinic for a new one.
- A patient who has no account yet is offered one after submitting.
The section shows when the link expires, and Completed once the patient has submitted the form.
What the patient enters only fills in what is missing: their date of birth and gender if their record has none, and the reason for the visit if the visit has none (a reason you entered is kept). The allergies and chronic conditions they list are added to their record as self-reported, where your staff see them like any other self-reported entry, once the patient shares their clinical information with your organization. An entry the patient already reported is not added twice. The family history they list is added to their family history, skipping a relative and disease already there.
If your installation has not configured the address of the patient app, the section shows the bare intake code instead of a link, and says so. Ask your administrator to configure it: patients open intake through the link.
Who sees what
Section titled “Who sees what”Viewing the list needs permission to view visit requests, plus permission to view visits. Requesting, scheduling, starting and cancelling each need their own permission, and the intake link needs permission to manage pre-visit intake. Buttons you are not allowed to use are not shown.
Requesting and cancelling a request work at any location. Scheduling, starting and the intake link work only at a location you are assigned to, and an administrator can switch any of them off for you at one location (see User details). At other locations those buttons are not shown.
